SuperSport United star Teboho Mokoena advised to move to Europe
SuperSport United midfielder Teboho Mokoena has been advised to prioritize a move to Europe over a lucrative offer from DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
According to reports, Anderlecht – coached by former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany – have submitted a R20million bid for international Bafana Bafana.
However, Sundowns are believed to have made a whopping offer of R25m, more than double their initial offer of R10m.
The situation SuperSport are facing means they are desperate for cash and will sell to the highest bidder, but Mokoena has to accept the deal for the sake of his career and would not prefer a move to Chloorkop.

“Belgium is the best league from which the top European leagues are looking for cheap players,” Valery Nahayo told KickOff from Belgium where he now lives since retirement.
Nahayo played in the Belgian top flight for KAA Gent before also spending time in the lower divisions following his spell in PSL with Jomo Cosmos, Kaizer Chiefs and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
“The situation in Anderlecht has improved since the arrival of Vincent Kompany because they have now moved up the table from lower positions, so they are more competitive.
“They will definitely improve his income compared to what he earns at SuperSport United even though the tax here in Belgium is around 50%. It’s a move that will benefit the player if he has bigger ambitions than to be only the best in South Africa.
“It will be a good decision for him in the interest of his growth, as he will have to face different challenges and play in Europe. Considering that you say he is 25, this is the last chance for him to join a club. in Europe from where it will move on to bigger things Anderlecht is using more young players because it’s a league players are bought from.
“Anderlecht don’t have the biggest budget, but 20m rand is not huge for them because they could get the most out of the player if he is successful. 20m rand is around 1 million, which is nothing for Anderlecht who will say that he is a player who does not know Europe”, explains Nahayo.
