Mahesh Babu shares glimpses of holidays in Europe with his wife Namrata, children. See the pictures

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is updating his fans on his ongoing holiday in Europe. On Monday, he posted a photo with his family outside the Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich. And he mentioned that he was ready to go to Italy by road. “It’s a road trip!! Next stop Italy!! Lunch with the crazies (sic),” Mahesh captioned, while sharing a selfie. He is on vacation with his wife Namrata, his son Gautham and his daughter Sitara.

Mahesh was recently seen in director Parasuram’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata. He had played the role of a US-based money lender, who travels to India for personal reasons. But, he is drawn into the life of a woman, who has suffered from the connection between politicians and bank officials. In his efforts to help the woman in need, he also ends up fixing the broken banking system, which unfairly rewards the wealthy and ruthlessly taxes the working class.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata, however, was a critical disaster. The film received poor reviews from critics and also failed to generate enough goodwill among the film’s patrons. However, Mahesh’s stardom ensured the film a very strong opening weekend, helping the producers recoup their investments. Even though the consensus was that the movie didn’t live up to his box office expectations, the producers did everything they could to prove him wrong. The filmmakers and Mahesh held several events to record their sanctification of the film’s commercial performance. Mahesh said Sarkaru Vaari Paata was a “blockbuster”.

Mahesh has also found success as the producer of Major. The film based on the life and times of slain 11/26 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan received good reviews and also did well at the box office. Mahesh had funded the project, which had Adivi Sesh in mind.
