KBC Group: labeled ‘Best digital performer’ in Europe by D-Rating thanks to its solid digital performance in retail banking

KBC labeled ‘Best digital performer’ in Europe by D-Rating thanks to its strong digital performance in retail banking

Friday, June 10, 2022 – In 2022, D-Rating is launching its “Digital Labels”, which reward the best performing retail banks in terms of digital offers and their implementation. These labels aim to highlight local banks that offer innovative offers and tools and invest in the customer experience. They recognize the efforts made to develop and maintain a high level of smooth customer journeys, a wide range of features and offers and powerful tools to get in touch.

At the end of its fifth digital performance evaluation campaign, based on data collected between October and December 2021, D-Rating has labeled KBC “Best digital performer” in Europe with an “A” rating, which also makes KBC the ‘Best digital performer’ in Belgium.

KBC stands out both for its high ranking and for the progression of its overall Usage Status score. KBC has a clear, app-focused strategy and monitors customer usage in addition to effectively redirecting social media traffic. KBC achieves the best accessibility results for its integrated offers, with users able to sign up for all key banking products using the mobile app. KBC also performs well when it comes to the features available in the mobile app as well as the website. Money transfer is a strong point of KBC’s customer journey.

‘KBC really stands out from the competition thanks to the innovative features offered by what we would call “a super app”. The most striking feature was the ability to try out the app with your real bank details even if you’re not at KBC, so you can get a feel for what the bank has to offer future customers.said Maria Hdid, senior analyst for the Belgian market at D-Rating.

This is a clear recognition not only of the quality of our service, but also of our commitment to providing our customers with an unparalleled experience, every day. Our digital apps and Kate, our customers’ digital personal assistant, ensure customers can take care of their KBC banking and insurance needs whenever they want. D-Rating’s analysis testifies to our user-friendly solutions and the daily efforts of our experts to do that little extra to make a difference. These ratings encourage us to continue our efforts in this area and to continue to offer customers ever-improving service and convenience.concludes Erik Luts, Chief Innovation Officer at KBC Group.
